Induction Motor DTC Performance Improvement by Reducing Flux and Torque Ripples in Low Speed

Since induction motors were invented, human civilization has changed forever. Due to their beneficial characteristics, are widely used and have become the most prevalent electrical counterparts. Many control strategies for been developed, varying from scalar vector control. In class of control, Direct Torque Control (DTC) was proposed as an alternative that ensures separated flux torque while remaining completely in a stationary reference frame. It offers direct inverter switching, reasonable simplicity than other techniques, less sensitivity parameter variation. However, use hysteresis controllers conventional DTC involves non-desired ripples system's torque, which leads bad system performances, primarily low-speed operations. This paper aims minimize chattering ensure augmented performance terms robustness stability. The method is improved version DTC, combines addition Space Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm increased number sectors generate voltages. Satisfactory results obtained by numerical simulation MATLAB/Simulink. Eventually, proven be fast dynamic decoupled robustly responds external disturbance uncertainties, especially range.
